Description

Archuleta County Public Health department provides CORE public health services as directed by Colorado Department of Health and Environment https://cdphe-lpha.colorado.gov/resources/resources-by-core-service. The Public Health Department has oversight from the Local Board of Health. Programs and services that help to meet the CORE public health services include clinic services for uninsured and underinsured community members, food safety inspections and permits, community support programs such as WIC, health insurance navigation, and tobacco cessation related programming, as well as public health emergency preparedness plans and other programs to address the needs of the community, around health prevention and promotion. For FY 25 the department of public health will begin to implement the 5-year community health improvement plan which will be posted on their website in January 2025.
